A taste of summer in the Norwegian mountains - Views and drone shots from the highlands

Come join me for a taste of summer in the mountains in Northern Norway! These views and drone shots are from a hike in late June to a mountain just outside Tromsø city. The views are recorded above the tree line on the way up to the peak and with a drone; so sit back and enjoy the experience! It takes time before the snow melts high up in the mountains in the north; but often it is an advantage for the hikers as the snow fields are easy to walk on compared to rugged mountains with boulders everywhere!

Recorded on top of the mountain Storskardfjellet just outside Tromsø city in Northern Norway. This is a 843 meter high mountain located just next to the iconic mountain "Tromsdalstinden" ( visible in parts of the movie). From the cairn you have a very good view of the surrounding landscape in all directions and parts of Tromsø city are also visible.

In 2022 Storskardfjellet is a part of the local "Ti på Topp" competition. This is a competition where the participants gets points and exercise by hiking to 10 different places in and around Tromsø city as many time as they wish during the summer and autumn. The easiest place to reach is a beach inside Tromsø city, while the hardest is a 1237meter high mountain peak.
