Hi everyone! Augusto Vlogs here!
We are here in Bergen in a "inside fish" market and we are going to check out the prices. We are going to see the different names of the different fish! The prices are not cheap but the quality is amazing. A lot of fresh fish. You can order and have it cooked right there at one of many restaurants on the board waling area. Just be aware of the prices. Make sure you understand so you do not end up with a huge bill! As we have said before, fishing was one of the main reasons this areas were so profitable through out the periods. Bergen is not different being a port town. The town became the center of a long trading period: 1300's - 1800's. The town was able to collect huge sums of money due trading from sailors doing trade from east to west north Europe. All the trading from east and west north Europe had to stop in Bergen. Bergen with its local merchandise: dry cod fish and timber, was able to profit from both angles. The top positing on the trading period lasted for many centuries. Bergen was once the capital of Norway but lost that position to Oslo. Bergen however remains the second largest city in Norway. Its past has not always been easy. Fire has marked and destroyed the city to the ashes. Of many fires the one from 1702 being the worse. Bergen today stands tall and strong with many things to see: Fish market with lots of fresh fish, Bryggan German settlement, museums, art galleries and etc. You can lose yourself in beautiful Bergen. The shopping is is incredible with very friendly people!

Thank you so much for watching and subscribing to my channel! I really appreciate it! I will post videos once a week: Fridays afternoons (sometimes more)! In these videos I will show magical lands and wonderful history. For most of these places, it can be said that in one way or another history was born there or at least they fostered the birth of many historical elements that we see even today. You will feel inspired all over again not only about travelling but about life in general!
There is a beautiful world out there and I would love to share it with you.
I will give you some hints on how you can travel to some of these places or other destinations if that's what you like. Or if you prefer, you can from the comfort of your house watch busy cities or enchanted little villages: some of them with less than 500 inhabitants! There, life seems to have stopped and there is almost "no stress".
COME with me on this beautiful adventure and get to know places, towns, villages and people that you’d never known they existed! #travelvlog #oslo #stavanger #bergen #flam #olden #norway
