In this video you can ride along on Motorveien E16 / E39 around the city of Bergen, Norway's 2nd largest city. The E16 / E39 around Bergen only has a short stretch that actually has a motorway profile, most of it is more an expressway without shoulders.
The city center is mainly bypassed by the Fløyfjellstunnelen, a twin tube tunnel with a length of 3.8 kilometers when driving North. Bergen is nestled between the mountains and fjords so it takes a bit of creativity in road design to control the flow of traffic. There are still quite a few projects ongoing as in the far future, Bergen is to be connected to Oslo via the Atlantic coastal motorway (E39). Currently the main trajectory is Riksvei 7 across the Hardanger Plateau or ferries when taking the E39 over Stavanger.
Bergen has over 250.000 inhabitants and is very popular with tourists. Not just because it's one of the main entrances to the western Norwegian fjords, but the city itself also has quite a few UNESCO-listed parts as it was once the starting or endpoint of the Hanseatic trading route. Either way it's worth a visit!
