When I left the Arctic archipelagos at the 69th parallel (episode 6), I didn't expect to see such amazing alpine landscapes. The Lyngen massif is a rocky mountain range that rises up to 1.5 km above the waters of the fjords. This is definitely the northern edge of the Sami Land. I was driving on a nice road, but with the polar tundra all around me, which has been part of this ancient people's landscape for 10,000 years. Their culture has survived here despite brutal discrimination, and their reindeer still graze here, all the way to Nordkapp.
