One of the more interesting aircraft swaps I had whilst flying over in Norway. I'd booked to fly with Wideroe on their Dash8 Q400 from Bergen to Aberdeen, however early in the morning I received an email that my direct flight back to Scotland had been canceled.
The airline rebooked me to fly from Bergen down to Stavanger aboard this Finnair (Norra) ATR 72-500 OH-ATF before then flying across to Aberdeen aboard their SAS CRJ-900. Despite the delay and the fact I would miss my train, I was over the moon as it would be my first time flying on a CRJ-900, and also my first time aboard a Finnair ATR.
With the recent conflict in Europe, the Finnish airline has been redeploying the extra capacity of its fleet around the World with some of their A330s now even flying for Qantas from Australia.
The airline seems very pro-active in trying to keep their crews flying despite the challenging conditions in the European market at the moment.
