Part 3 of an April adventure
In Sandnes (a little south of Stavanger) at the endpoint of the fjord tucked away behind a local school is a hidden gem. 306 steps takes you 48m above the town to a fabulous view point. If you are feeling competivie there is even a button to press that will time your speed in asscending the stairs.
@researcherrevealed takes you on the climb in April, a beautiful spring day where the lack of leaves on the trees meant gorgeous views on the way up and down. Check out the short video for more views from the top.
It is easy walk to access if you don't have a car. There is a bus right outside the school (bus stop: Skoleveien). You could also use it as a starting point for a longer hike, but as I was still recovering from my total hip surgery the 300 steps were enough of a challenge seeing as onthis day I had already been on a ferry ride, short hike, and still planned to walk though Sandnes before taking a train back to Stavanger.
