Pulpit Rock - Preikestolen or Prekestolen ( Indonesian translation : 'mimbar'), also known by the old local name Hyvlatonnå (wood smoothing blade), is a large cliff located 604 km above Lysefjorden , across the valley of the Kjerag plateau , in Forsand , Ryfylke , Norway . The top of this hill is almost flat and is a famous tourist spot in Norway.
