The Lysebotn climb is a wonderful 31 hairpins road, one of them in a tunnel, up a cliff face at the bottom of a 42km long fjord in the Rogaland region of Norway. The climb takes you up 900 meters in about 9km of carpet like tarmac.
Relentless gradient, spectacular views and unpredictable weather make for an unforgettable experience.
Once at the top, you have the choice of riding back down to catch a ferry to Lauvvik or Stavanger, or riding along the stunning 135km road to Stavanger.
