SO we were supposed to hike Trolltunga. The town Odda is in Hordaland county and it's at the base of the start of Trolltunga.
Because we went in May, there was still snow on top of the mountain. Every resource we read recommended a guide. Unfortunately only guide at that time is Trolltunga Active and they were only doing very limited tours. SO we went searching for some equipment to rent but failed LOL. If you do want to hike Trolltunga, the trials will be fine starting beginning of June and you can go without a guide.
ANYWAYS we decided to hike the waterfall hike Vøringsfossen. Due to poor signage, we ended up taking an alternative route. Also we found out the hard way that "moderately easy" in Norwegian standards is actually really hard.
At the end of the day...it was a hilarious adventure that still ended with an amazing view. And that's all we can ask for :)
