Stavanger East used to be the industrial area in Stavanger. Not anymore. Its one of those areas turned into a so called sustainable urban living area. Meaning young, rich, creative hipsters, with a particular interest in home-brewed beer, sourdough bread and vegan finger food have moved into what appears to be the result of too many narcissistic architects working the same spot.
But I still like the east end. Some of the old roughness is still there. I like the old, the worn down, the imperfect - in architecture as well as in life. I simply like the crack in the mirror. I am not sure a have been able to capture any of it, but at least I have tried...
