Stavanger is another city in Norway. As the day was gloomy and it was raining incessantly we just opted for a Hop on Hop off Tour without actually getting down anywhere! The bus moved through the town and we passed many colourful houses, a number of museums, the 12th century Cathedral, and a tree lined avenue in about an hour.
This city is known as the oil capital of Norway. It is quaint and unassuming even though the economy of the city improved vastly after oil was discovered. The city retains the wooden houses more than tall modern buildings so it feels like a quiet small township.
