Stavanger, on the southwest coast of Norway, is now the oil capital of the country, but a long time ago, in 1135, believers constructed a handsome stone cathedral still in use in the 21st century. In fact, at the time of this visit, much of the exterior was undergoing restoration. The city itself has many charming elements, as you will encounter in this virtual “walk about”.
