I am The Player-Coach
My name is Erlend Jacobsen, and I am a goalkeeper. I fell in love diving around and saving shots when I was around 9 years old. Now I am 23 years old and playing semiprofessional football for 3 division side BRODD IL in Stavanger Norway. I have played in other clubs trough my time including Skarp IL, Tromsø IL and Faroese side B68.
The reason I go under the name Player-Coach is because for the past 2 years I have been without a goalkeeper coach for lots of my sessions. I also know this is the case for many goalkeepers out there!
My goal is to keep playing football and also learn and prepare myself for becoming a goalkeeper coach after I retire! I also want to share my knowledge about goalkeeping and goalkeeper training. I hope this can help other goalkeepers in a similar situation as I have been in.
