Aurora Aksnes, known mononymously as Aurora, is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and record producer. Born in Stavanger and raised in the towns of Høle and Os, she began writing her first songs and learning dance at the age of six.

British singer-songwriter Tom Odell teamed up with Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA to release a new song “Butterflies” on January 27, 2023.
This marks the first collaboration between Tom Odell and AURORA.
The song is his first music since his fifth studio album “Best Day of My Life”, which was released last October.
It was written by Tom Odell, Aurora Aksnes, Laurie Blundell, and Jonny Coffer.
Tom Odell said of the song, “I have been a fan of Aurora and her music for many years and it was a dream come true to make this song together. It's a song about spending the day with somebody you really like and at the end of the day having to say goodbye to them, not knowing if you will ever see them again, but being happy for the experience regardless.
