Our exploration boat, the XS 650 (XS RIBS) is a rigid inflatable boat (RIB). Great boat for exploration of the wild coast of Norway and Shetland. We used it for diving explorations and whale watching. We sailed it to the continental shelf, the the Faroe-Shetland Channel to look for fin whales, and we found many ????.
In the video some footage from our trips to Arctic Norway in the winter, and explorations of the seas around the Shetland Islands.
Our XS 650 is configured for these kind of trips.
Range is 500+ kilometers, the rib is fitted with AIS, two chart plotters, VHF and handheld VHF, on many expeditions we brought a drift anchor (parachute anchor) Epirb and lots of other safety equipment en precautions.
