As you probably already saw, we were having a great time in Flam, Norway. This tiny remote village is in one of the most beautiful valleys in the country, and we could not wait to see what else it had in store for us. If you haven't checked out part one of our trip to Flam, take a look here:

This video starts on day two of our journey. We just got back from our journey around the fjord and were looking forward to dinner in the Fretheim Hotel. The Fretheim was one of the first buildings in Flam and was a modest dwelling for weary tourists that came to the area for fishing. It was amazing to be in this historic place!
The next day we decided to rent some bikes and ride around the area. We spent a few hours enjoying the natural beauty of the area, and really loved the fresh air. We also visited the Flam church on our ride and acquainted ourselves with the area.
After all that, it was time for shopping. There is no shortage of shopping in Flam, as selling goods to tourists is one of the prime ways the city stays alive during the off season. Katherine was on the hunt for an authentic Norwegian sweater, and we had a good time trying to find one!
Unfortunately, our time in Flam had to draw to a close, so we spent the last day enjoying some coffee outdoors in the Bakkastova Cafe. This little cafe is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the busy part of the village, and it was a great reprieve. We also got lunch, an amazing oven-baked pizza, from the wonderful little Flam Bakeri. This bakery has just about everything you would need to get a good meal in the morning, noon, or night.
Flam was amazing, and we will always remember this trip. It was a great way to get in touch with nature and do things that we hadn't done before. But now we are setting our sights on Oslo. Check out our time in Oslo in our next video!
